HI FRIEND, I’M DR. CLAIRE.

I’m a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Augusta, Georgia! Movement is something I’ve always prioritized, and well, here we are - big lifter, multiple marathoner turned ultra runner, and just a general fan of being outside. I train to be the strongest ultra runner and the meatball that can run the the longest.

I graduated from University of Georgia (Go Dawgs) with my B.S.Ed. in Exercise Science and attended Augusta University for my Doctorate of Physical Therapy. I started my career as a travel PT, and being able to travel all over for work and for fun is really a dream. Somewhere between graduating school and taking my first contract, I took a pelvic floor class with a friend so she would have a partner - now it’s one of my very favorite things to treat!! Believe it or not, everyone has a pelvic floor, and the pelvic floor is a part of everything we do.

I am no stranger to injury. From nursing a hamstring strain for almost the entirety of my 50k training, to navigating that hip twinge from squatting heavy with hips that move more than your average person, to living with mild prolapse while still lifting HEAVY and running FAR, I deeply believe we were made to move - sometimes we just need a little guidance. I also believe we were made to push beyond the boundaries of what we think we are capable of, and my favorite part of being a physical therapist is helping people push into the “more” of their capabilities.

Along with running and lifting, I LOVE eating - a good meal is a good time for me. I also love anything outdoors: hiking, a long walk, laying on the beach, kayaking, camping, all of the above. Most of all, I love dogs, which definitely seems to be a theme here at Move Your Bones….

Helping people understand their bodies better is my JAM. If you’re looking to push forward with your training in whatever capacity you’re at right now, I am 100% in it with you. Let’s get that ball rolling and see what you’re really capable of!
